Rand Advertising's 20th Annual Snowmobile Trail Map

Rand Advertising produces a snowmobile trail map that's easy to carry with you on the trails. The map is printed in two colors, and is updated each year. This year's map, their 20th, is shown below. You can get your copy of this year's at many area businesses, at the Chamber of Commerce office on West Broadway, or at the Lincoln Town Office. You can also click on the map below for a PDF copy.

We encourage you to join your local snowmobile or ATV club, follow the laws, and use common sense when you ride. Watch weather and trail conditions, and be sure to stay on the trails. Respect the rights of property owners who allow the trails to cross their land. With everyone's cooperation, trails will continue to be available for all to enjoy.

End-of-season "Thank You" BBQ Held Oct. 11

November 4 - The Penobscot Off-Road Riders held a barbeque at the South Lincoln Community Progress Club on the Mohawk Road, to thank the Ladies Club Club for providing the meeting space, and also to thank the area landowners, business supporters all the ATV club's members and friends.

The club gave the Community Progress Club $300 for the use of their building as a meeting place during the season. A new clubhouse is in the works, with only one more payment due on the land. More work needs to be done before a clubhouse can be built, starting with an equipment shed.

A new trail has been constructed on Milts Way and McGregor Road, which connects to the Pierce/Webber Road. During the winter, club officers will meet with the trail master to number the trails in time for next year's trail maps*.

Next year's dues will be going to $25 per family. Due to the cost of printing and mailing newsletters, they will be sent via e-mail to members when possible.

The first meeting of the spring will be in March or April, weather permitting.

*Lee and Connie Rand, dba RAND ADVERTISING LLC, have now produced two Lincoln area ATV Trail Maps , the first last year and the second this year with the addition of trails from the Dwinal Pond Club area included. They are similar to the Lincoln area Snowmobile Trail Maps they've been printing for the past 20 years. Maps are available from the Penobscot Off-Road Riders, the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, and at various area businesses. A PDF copy of the 2008 map is available here. If you're interested in having an ad on the 2009 Trail Maps contact them at 794-8071 or e-mail [email protected]. Next year's maps will include numbered trails and again will include the trails from the Dwinal Pond 4 Seasons Club, too.

Dwinal Pond 4 Seasons Club

February 20 - The Dwinal Pond 4 Season Club has approached the Town of Lincoln to request that an additional mile of roadway on the Half Township Road be added to the ATV access route that has been in use for the last several years. Since this is a new route and not a renewal, an item will be placed on the Lincoln Town Council March agenda to determine whether or not the Council wants to proceed with this request. If the Council indicates it wishes to move forward with this request, Town Manager Lisa Goodwin will notify abutting landowners after the March meeting and then a public hearing will be held at the April meeting.*

Monthly meetings are held the first Monday of each month at the Clubhouse on the Old Springfield Road in East Winn. For more club information, visit their web site at : http://www.dp4sclubsa.com, send mail to P.O. Box 114, Winn, ME 04495, or call President Darrell Savage at 207-794-3590
