12/17 - Local Dancer Students Plan Spaghetti Supper / Silent Auction / Raffles & Performance to Fundraise for Competition

The dancers of Northern Lights in Lincoln will be performing at their annual winter showcase, Monday December 17th at Mattanawcook Academy. Students, ages 3 thru high school, will be performing in the show. The DAZZLERS of NLDA recently performed in the Fall Fashion Show with Avanti Bridal, a fundraiser for the Penobscot Valley Hospital, and did a marvelous job contributing to such a wonderful cause. The students and directors of Northern Lights received countless compliments and "thanks" from community members. The students have been working hard since classes began in mid-September and are excited to perform in the show on the 17th. There will be a spaghetti dinner, silent auction and lots of raffles taking place prior to the show. Doors open at 5:30 PM. Tickets to the show are $10 and include dinner beforehand. Please join us for a fun evening out! There will be delicious food, lots of items to be auctioned or raffled off, and a great deal of talent! All of the proceeds will benefit the students traveling to North Conway, NH this Spring for the annual Olympic Miss/Step Up 2 Dance Tour Competition.

Each year, the directors of NLDA travel with a handful of students, out-of-state, to experience a competition with participants from around New England. The students attended the Step Up 2 Dance Tour last May and received HIGH GOLD awards, as well as 1st Place awards, for all 9 routines that were competed. The students and instructors are very excited to attend this competition in May. The directors believe it's a wonderful opportunity for their students to expand their horizons. The atmosphere is friendly and the talent is great! Please mark your calendars and join local dance students for dinner and a performance to support their trip to North Conway!

Donations, gift certificates and items to be raffled are being accepted. If you would like to make a contribution, please call Shelbi Werner (director) at 460-8736 for more information. For cash donations, please make checks payable to NLDA and mail them to:
