OCTOBER 30, 2011 - Late October snow storm hits Lincoln, Maine area with high winds and several inches of snow!

The first snowfall of the winter season here in Lincoln could happen anytime after the middle of November. Some years the snow comes early and stays late, and some years it's the other way around. The unofficial record low temperature here was -42 degrees, back in the 1960s. Don't worry - it doesn't usually get that cold, although it's normal to have a few days of below zero weather in the winter. For those of you who enjoy winter outdoor sports such as ice fishing and snowmobiling, this is the place for you!

We hope you enjoy these photos. Lincoln is beautiful in the winter, too.
